Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 16, 2026

1. Introduction

Beacon Insurance Agency, LLC ("Beacon," "we," "us," or "our") is an independent insurance agency licensed in the State of Oklahoma. We help clients shop for and purchase insurance coverage — including personal auto and home/renters’ insurance, life insurance, and commercial/business insurance — through our relationships with multiple insurance carriers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information about visitors to our website at www.beaconinsok.com and about clients and prospective clients we work with by phone, text, email, and in person.

Because Beacon is licensed to sell insurance, our handling of your nonpublic personal information is governed primarily by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and the NAIC Privacy of Consumer Financial and Health Information Model Regulation as adopted by the Oklahoma Insurance Department (Oklahoma Administrative Code 365:25), in addition to the other Oklahoma and federal laws described below.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information about you, directly from you, from insurance carriers, from consumer reporting agencies, and from third parties who assist us:

  • Identifying information: name, date of birth, address, phone number, and email address.
  • Government identifiers: Social Security number, driver's license number, and similar identifiers needed to obtain accurate quotes and bind coverage.
  • Financial information: income, assets, prior insurance and claims history, credit-based insurance scores, and payment or billing information.
  • Health information: medical history, health conditions, prescription information, and other health-related information relevant to life, health, or certain other insurance applications.
  • Property and vehicle information: home value and construction details, vehicle make/model/VIN, and driving history.
  • Communications: records of calls, emails, texts, and other messages you exchange with us.
  • Website and device information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar information collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide insurance quotes and compare coverage options across the carriers we represent.
  • Complete applications and bind, service, and renew policies.
  • Process payments and billing.
  • Communicate with you about your policies, quotes, and account.
  • Comply with insurance regulatory, underwriting, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Detect and prevent fraud.
  • With your consent, send marketing communications about products and services (Section 6).
  • Maintain and improve our website and services.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your nonpublic personal information with:

  • Insurance carriers and underwriters, to obtain quotes, bind coverage, and service your policy.
  • Consumer reporting agencies and motor vehicle departments, to obtain credit-based insurance scores and driving records.
  • Service providers who support our operations, such as our agency management/CRM and quoting platforms (currently including EZLynx), under agreements that limit their use of your information to the services they provide us.
  • Other licensed insurance producers or agencies, if needed to service your account (for example, a referral for a product we do not offer).
  • Regulators, courts, and law enforcement, when required by law or to protect against fraud.
  • A successor entity in the event of a sale, merger, or transfer of all or part of our business.

Special protection for health information: We will not disclose health information about you for marketing purposes unless you first give us written authorization, as required by Oklahoma insurance privacy regulations.

5. Your Choices and Rights

  • Opt out of certain sharing: You may direct us not to share your nonpublic personal financial information with nonaffiliated third parties for purposes other than servicing your policy, obtaining quotes, or as otherwise permitted by law, by contacting us using the information in Section 14.
  • Access and correction: You may ask what personal information we hold about you and request that we correct inaccurate information.
  • Marketing opt-out: You may opt out of marketing emails and texts at any time (Section 6).

If the Oklahoma Consumer Data Privacy Act (OKCDPA), effective January 1, 2027, applies to our practices, Oklahoma residents will also have the statutory rights to confirm, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling — enforced exclusively by the Oklahoma Attorney General. Much of the personal information we collect for insurance purposes is already exempt from the OKCDPA because it is covered by GLBA, but we will honor these rights on request to the extent they apply to us.

6. Marketing Communications

Email. If you receive marketing emails from us, you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. We comply with the federal CAN-SPAM Act, including honoring opt-out requests promptly and identifying marketing emails as advertisements where required.

Calls and texts. If you provide your phone number, we may contact you about quotes and policy servicing, and — with your consent — for marketing, using tools such as EZ Lynx. Under the Oklahoma Telephone Solicitation Act and the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), we obtain your prior express written consent before sending marketing texts or using an automatic dialing/texting system for marketing calls, we only send marketing calls or texts between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. your local time, and we honor opt-out requests (for example, replying "STOP") immediately, with no cure period. We will follow OTSA’s cap of no more than three solicitations (calls/texts) per 24-hour period. Message and data rates may apply.

7. Cookies and Website Tracking

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and support quote forms. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit some website features.

8. Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, consistent with the safeguards expected under the GLBA Safeguards Rule and Oklahoma insurance privacy regulations. Depending on our size and revenue, we may or may not be a “licensee” required to maintain a formal information security program under the Oklahoma Insurance Data Security Act (36 O.S. §§ 6201 et seq.); regardless, we apply reasonable safeguards to protect client data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to service your policies, comply with insurance recordkeeping and regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we securely delete or de-identify it.

10. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are directed to adults and are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children without parental consent, consistent with the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

11. Security Breach Notification

If we experience a breach of security involving your unencrypted personal information (such as your name combined with a Social Security number, driver's license number, or financial account number), we will notify you without unreasonable delay, consistent with the Oklahoma Security Breach Notification Act (24 O.S. §§ 161–166), and will notify the Oklahoma Attorney General if the breach affects 500 or more Oklahoma residents.

12. Third-Party Links

Our website may link to insurance carrier websites, payment portals, or other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; please review their privacy policies separately.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of our website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
